Thank you for visiting Angelica Holistic Beauty Therapies, named after one of the many essential oils used in our aromatherapy treatments, said to possess calming qualities and known as the "oil of angels".
​
After receiving many good therapies myself, (and some not so good!), a seed was planted and I knew that it was time to retrain in order to be able to provide treatments that we are passionate about.
My first step on my journey of holistic therapies began in 2005/2006 in the UK where I attended complimentary therapies courses. I then had to put the learning on hold as we moved to New Zealand in 2007. I initially worked for the DHB until I was able to leave my job in administration and to finally follow my dream - to retrain!

I am mad passionate about all things botanical and when I get any spare time I love to paint watercolours of our beautiful botanicals and am a member of the New Zealand Botanical Artists Society which enables me to exhibit and sometimes even sell my work!

In today's time pressured society we all need to take some time out in order to recharge our batteries and help our bodies and minds cope better with stress. My philosophy is all about the organic, holistic approach, treating the mind, body and soul and my practice intention is to provide an absolute pampering and a deeply relaxing experience that will leave you rejuvenated and re-energised. My therapies reflect this holistic approach, using as many organic ingredients as possible, weaving aromatherapy and reiki through the fabric of my therapies.

About My Treatment Room
I practice professional treatments using professional products in a tranquil room from my lovely home at Matamata, Waikato, New Zealand.
​
You will be warmly welcomed and as you enter your senses with be filled with aromatic scents, softly playing relaxing music, flickering candles, a warm, hushed atmosphere and a comfy massage table dressed with fresh, clean linen.
I offer a quiet, hushed environment for clients with the intention of providing an oasis of calm and tranquility where you can enjoy a peaceful relaxing therapy. You are encouraged to disconnect from the outside world and embrace the calm. I wholly encourage not talking to make the most of your time. This is your time, please make the most of every minute. Please make sure your mobile phone is switched off to avoid distractions and do make arrangements for any children to be cared for while you enjoy your peaceful time. It is a time to internalise and "JUST BE" cherish the supported relaxation time........... embrace the calm

Prepare To Pamper
Hydration is key: Drink plenty of water before and after your visit. It’s the elixir of cellular cleansing and well-being.
Unwind and slow down: This is your time for self-care. Kindly arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to change and prepare for pampering, or 15 minutes if it is your first appointment.
Embrace comfort: Undress to your level of comfort for the treatment. We are experts in ensuring a relaxing experience.
Communicate your needs: Inform us of any medical conditions or special requests. Some treatments may not be suitable if you’re pregnant or have certain conditions. While we are here to guide you, please note that we are not doctors and we cannot make medical decisions on your behalf. Elderly or frail clients may not be suitable for all treatments, please check before booking. You will need to be able to get yourself on and off the massage table without assistance as I will not be present while you get yourself prepared for treatment in order to provide privacy.
For your wellbeing: If you are having a full body therapy, reflexology or a pamper package that is 2 hours or longer then have a light snack within 2 hours of your treatment. Make sure you are fully hydrated. Treatments 1 hour or more have chilled water, herbal tea and a healthy treat served at the end.

Contraindications
Please note some conditions mean that treatments may not be safe for you. These include elderly or very frail people, thin crapey skin, cancer currently or in last 2 years, recent operations or procedures, heart conditions, sunburn, recent tattoos, undiagnosed lumps, asthma may restrict treatments, diabetes ,blood pressure issues, infections including athletes foot, colds, flu, coughs. Please check before booking if you are uncertain and you may be asked to check with your GP before being accepted for treatments.

​ Janesce Organic Botanical Skincare - herbal & floral tincture herbal medicine for the skin.
Living Nature Professional Skincare - manuka honey based made in & from New Zealand.
NAMA Fiji Luxury Skincare - thalassotherapy (Nama seagrapes) from Fiji.
​​ 100% Pure Essential Oils - As many as possible are sourced in New Zealand and organic (Lotus Essential Oils), however this is not always possible due to the large array that we use. We only used 100% pure essential oils.

Payments - accepted by direct bank transfer to clear the day prior to treatment or EFTPOS on the day of your appointment. If paying by credit card please note there is 3% fee payable - sorry!
We reserve the right to amend prices without notice.

Any discount, offers or vouchers will be applied at the time of payment and only one offer to be used for any treatment.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy (non-negotiable)
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for cancellations/rescheduling to avoid being charged a cancellation fee (full amount of your treatment). It is really hard to refill your spot at such short notice.
Treatments 2 hours or longer
Any treatment longer than 2 hours will require a $30 non-returnable deposit to secure your spot. It may be transferrable if you have to rearrange your appointment provided you have given 48 hours notice.

Please respect your therapist, as indeed you will be respected, and note we reserve the right to terminate the treatment if at any time comments or actions cause embarrassment or show disrespect.
